Accident of Destiny

Desperate and alone, WILL DAVIDSON clings to the top of a radio tower, about to jump. He tells us how he ended up here: “Destiny has two ways of crushing us: by refusing our wishes... And by granting them.” Will works at a factory alongside the irrepressible ANGIE STARR. She's cute, attracted to WILL and would be his perfect mate, but he's too blind to see it. Will’s heart belongs to the sexy, alluring DESTINY ANOUBIS, who for the past six months has made his life a living hell. Everyone sees this except Will, who is head-over-heels in love with her. Will is on the company softball team, alongside Angie who dreams of becoming a radio on-air personality. Were it not for Will, she would've quit the factory and pursued her dreams a long time ago. During the softball game, Angie gets Will to agree to accompany her to an audition at the local radio station, K-ROC 97.9 FM. Distracted, Will is hammered into the ground and knocked unconscious by company prick and jealous nemesis, DENNIS LANSKY. At the audition, Angie shines and wins the job, with a little coaxing from the station manager, MR.LEVINE. Will takes her home and they share an intimate moment as he realizes what he's been missing this whole time. As soon as Will returns home, he is shocked to learn of Destiny’s fatal accident. Destiny is dead. Three years later: Angie works at the radio station with plans to marry Will on Sunday. When Will attends his bachelor party, organized by Dennis, he sees the hired stripper. He is instantly mesmerized! She is the spitting-image of Destiny! Against his better judgment, he follows her home and encounters a local psychic who senses Will’s obsession and presents him with an odd gift: a ring that can alter the past. In an incident eerily similar to before, Will is knocked unconscious by Dennis just after he slides the mysterious ring on his finger. When he awakens, he discovers he's back in time, three years ago: the day of Destiny’s fateful accident. He can, if he so chooses, stop Destiny’s fatal accident! Will succeeds in enlisting Angie’s help, and in a cruel twist of fate, the accident occurs, but not exactly as before. Destiny survives this time, but Angie’s fate is shrouded in mystery. Back in the present, we find Will clinging to the top of the radio tower, inconsolable with grief. Destiny appears at the scene to talk him down and Will realizes the depth of his obsession. As Will lets go of the tower, making a final choice to free himself of his obsession forever, he suddenly remembers something... the ring the psychic gave him.
