RACHEL CROSS is an attractive medical associate with just about every accreditation imaginable. She works in an upscale Aesthetic Boutique catering to upper-class women in Portland, Maine who desire to look ten years younger.
Rachel is a co-owner of the boutique with DR. PAUL RICHARDS, a world-renowned plastic surgeon in his early-forties. Handsome, rich, Paul lives in the most affluent area of Maine: Cape Elizabeth. He shares his fifty-two-acre estate with his beautiful but hateful and uncaring wife, VIVIAN RICHARDS.
Rachel and the doctor have been having an affair for some time, and it culminates when Rachel brutally murders Vivian right before the doctor’s very eyes. Aghast, Richards wants to go to the police, but his lover convinces him otherwise and together they come up with the perfect plan:
They will find a woman the skilled surgeon can shape and mold into Vivian's exact likeness, a woman who will pretend to be his wife until the divorce papers are finalized and the estate settled. Once the two are married, they can dispose of the impostor and live happily ever-after, and Rachel just happens to know the perfect patsy.
Their scheme goes perfectly according to plan, that is, until the good doctor starts to develop feelings for the woman playing the role of his beautiful wife. This woman has all of Vivian’s beauty, with none of her flaws, and it appears she is falling in love with the doctor as well, an unfortunate turn of events Rachel didn’t anticipate.
And Rachel Cross, with blood on her hands, isn’t about to let anything stand in her way.
