ACT I Charles King and ex-fam Superstar career and potential family life is destroyed by him going to prison. Twelves years life, style with a love for the game is release and reunites with his son Vernard (12) and his close-friend Jammal Mcgee They stay in the neighborhood and formed a Sandlot of other kids in the South-West district of Baltimore. A rough area. After receiving his housing and meeting with probation officer, Charles is offered a coaching job fully funded by his friend with dirty hands, Mike. Believing this is the answer to build a relationship with his son, Charles wants to fulfil that love for the diamond. ACT II And against the naysayers - who mostly or tieing Mike's representation - Charles manages to notarize all documents as far as the team. But when Charles mention to his child's mother Denise - Vernard's mom, about her coming to see him play, she isn't willing to budge on allowing Vernard to play due to it conflicting with the Jehovah Witnesses. But Charles attending the Kingdom Hall, test hearts and win him allies of God. Even though reactions to Mike's crooked behavior catches him by surprise, and Charles has to questions his motives. ACT III So the team is looking good, solid, prepared and the relationship between Charles and his family mends, but Mike's ploys, births the reality of the streets when deceit and arguments of a non payment has Vernard and Jammal kidnapped and held for ransom. And after everything explodes around him Charles finds himself going backwards when he is mistaken for a robbery suspect and arrested, and mending relationships are revisited by doubt. ACT IV But Charles - when the truth is revealed - is welcomed with support from his family, the team, Congregation, Mike, Mcgees and his probation officer. And after the explosion of chaos Charles with the strength of his son Vernard reinstates the once Sandlot Players - with the soul of the diamond. So it carries over as they fight they way to the final game against the last year district champs, coached by Charles ex-fam Coach.
