Synopsis/Details
It is the first date for Harjit (an animal courtship zoologist) and Giada (an illustration artist) who have decided to meet at a zoo. Harjit starts the date feeling nervous, however, Giada’s fun and somewhat flirty demeanour soon puts him at ease, allowing for his own fun personality to emerge. This personality expresses itself as a bet between the pair wagering that Harjit cannot convince Giada that animals feel love like humans. Throughout the course of the date, we delve into the natural worlds of dancing birds, competitive fish, an OCD Parotia, brave frogs battling the odds, jealous thieving fish, male-eating jumping spiders, and a bioluminescent silk moth running for its own life as well as that of its offspring’s. Between each of these fun vignettes is a human story of two people seeking love and finding inspiration from the natural world around them.
