Synopsis/Details

GERI MEYERS is a no-nonsense power company lineman—one of the only women doing the job—who dreams every night of a faceless man she’s sure she hasn’t met yet. She’s fearless on a pole, allergic to sentiment, and perfectly fine keeping her heart insulated.
Until the day everything shorts out.

During a routine repair, a rookie partner makes a fatal mistake and Geri takes a full 7,200-volt hit. She’s pronounced dead on the scene—until ER nurse CHRIS ANGELINO shocks her back to life. In her haze, Geri locks eyes with him: the man from her dreams.

The electricity doesn’t just restart Geri’s heart—it rewires her.

When two people touch Geri’s hands at the same time, they experience an intense electric surge… and fall irrevocably in love with each other. What starts as an odd coincidence turns into a viral phenomenon after a TV appearance ignites a national obsession. Suddenly everyone wants Geri’s touch—couples, strangers, skeptics, the lonely, the desperate.

Overnight, Geri becomes Cupid with a hard hat.

But there’s a catch. Her damaged heart is unstable—and Chris, the one man she can’t stop thinking about, has vanished from the hospital. With help from her flirtatious widower dad FRANK and her guilt-ridden co-worker MIKE (who’s desperate to prove the power is fake), Geri tries to shut the whole thing down and reclaim her normal life.

She succeeds—at least publicly. Privately, Geri still has the power. And she still believes that if she can just find Chris and touch him, he’ll finally love her back.

When she tracks him down, reality hits harder than 7,200 volts: Chris is engaged to DR. LANCER. Worse, when Geri accidentally touches both of them, the power works—just not the way she hoped. Chris’s love for his fiancée intensifies, shattering Geri’s heart and her belief that her gift creates love at all.

Reeling, Geri misuses the power in a moment of self-destruction, triggering a chain of consequences that forces her to confront the truth: her touch doesn’t create love—it reveals it.
At her lowest point, with her heart failing and the spotlight gone, Chris returns. The moment Geri touched him, he finally understood the truth about his own life—and about her. As they lean in for the kiss she’s dreamed of her entire life, Geri’s heart stops. Again.

This time, Chris refuses to let her go.

Geri survives—and wakes to a sunrise wedding ceremony that proves love doesn’t need magic to be real. The electricity is gone. The truth remains. And Geri finally has the one thing she’s been searching for: a love that doesn’t need a spark to exist.
