Synopsis/Details
Intro: This is an odd and quirky rom-com about two hapless guys struggling to do their very best during the Great Recession of 2008. The story is set in sunny south Florida or any place where there is lots of sunshine, palm trees and pastel colored stucco buildings – This would, of course, include SoCal. This script contains a horn dog, a cuck, several air heads, some deviant behavior and a lesson for us all. Synopsis: Jack and Sam meet literally by accident and discover they have a great deal in common. Both are struggling to make ends meet, both have been thrown out by their wives and neither can afford the luxury of living alone. As they hope for happier days, Jack’s ex-wife demands conjugal visits because he can’t afford to pay alimony and Sam is still in love with his shallow and terminally self-absorbed wife – The one who ran off with her drop-dead-gorgeous yoga instructor the minute, or maybe just a little before, Sam lost all of his money day trading in the stock market. As matters go from bad to worse, Jack and Sam are forced to develop a new perspective on life. A love story for the rest of us with an almost happy ending. The Writer: John Hunter

My bare foot childhood was spent in the coastal low country of South Georgia. In this semi-rural version of Camelot, the truth was often stretched and embellished as an innocent pastime by members of my family and those around me. So, as you can clearly see, I was raised wrong and my storytelling is not entirely my fault. After graduation from college, I served as a Peace Corps volunteer in Latin America. I later worked in construction management, big ticket sales, commercial graphics, and as a packaging design consultant. I now live in Central Florida under the shade of a large oak tree with my long time personal micromanager, the lovely Ms Susan, and enjoy telling a wide variety of… Go to bio
