In the year 1349, Caesar, a Naval Officer's beloved but tough-as-nails pet tabby cat, returns to England with his Master from battle in the 100 Year War. But the home they arrive to has become a nightmare of death, as a hideous illness is sweeping the country. Believing cats are connected to devil worship and may be the cause of the plague, citizens murder every feline they can find. Meanwhile, disease-spreading rodents, led by Yersinia the Rat Queen, multiply by the millions across the land.
With a third of England's people already struck down by the Black Death, can Caesar and his fellow felines, the natural predators to the rat, survive Mankind's attempt to exterminate cats in order to thwart the rats' extermination of Mankind?
The story contains a mix of human and (at times, cute) animal characters. It might even be something Disney or Fox animators would create when the boss isn't looking! But due to its sometimes grotesque imagery and elaborate and violent action, it is definitely not for very young children.
