Synopsis/Details
Meet Sam Mckinley, in his mid- twenties, a hitman, an aggressive, reserved man who has no goal other than to kill people for money. He gets a job from his boss, Julian, to kill someone and that's when he gets in to a horrible car accident. When he wakes up he finds himself lying beside an old man. Meet the old man, Marcus Hall, around 90 years, suffering from brain tumour and heart disease, has seven dying wishes which he would like to fulfil before he dies. Just as Sam and Marcus talks and gets to know each other they are interrupted by a police who informs that Sam's driving licence has been suspended and hands Sam's backpack to Marcus which the police has accidentally thought belongs to him. They are also visited by Marcus's son, John Hall, around 60 and Melinda Hall, Marcus's daughter in law, around 50. Sam slips a paper to Marcus, giving him his cell number and quietly gets out of the room while John argues with his father to stop fulfilling his seven dying wishes. When Sam reaches his apartment he secretly finds out that his landlord has called the same police from the hospital showing him unlicensed guns hidden in Sam's apartment. Luckily Sam get's Marcus's call that day and visits his house to get his backpack. There Sam meets Wren Hall, Marcus's grandson around Sam's age, who has a very negative attitude. As Sam cannot go back to his apartment since the police are looking for him he forces Marcus to let him stay in his house. Sam promises to fulfil the dying man's wishes during his stay in the Hall's house. While fulfilling the first wish of transferring the ownership of an orphanage to Marcus, Sam becomes aggressive with the orphanage authority who is held at gun point by Sam. With Marcus being with him he calms down, records his conversation with the authority person and threatens that the ugly truth of the orphanage which is recorded would be handed to the police if the ownership is not transferred to Marcus. Soon he becomes more interested to know Marcus's other wishes and Marcus shows him his white board where he wrote his seven wishes. While fulfilling the fourth wish of meeting Jacob, Marcus's sick old friend, he meets Amelia, Jacob's granddaughter. He becomes friends with Amelia and her seven years old blind daughter, Hope. With time running out and Marcus falling sick Sam tries to finish all Marcus's dying wishes. He fulfills Marcus's wishes of feeding a homeless guy every Friday and soon finds new staff for the mental hospital which Marcus badly wants to grow and develop. With last three wishes left Sam falls in love with Amelia and asks Marcus's advice to win her heart. To which Marcus answers that Sam should leave his job as a hitman and be a normal person if he wants to win Amelia's heart. Sam takes Marcus's advice and he decides to ignore Julian's calls. He soon gets a job at a local convenience store. One day Sam is finally traced by Julian who pushes him to do one of his assignment and kill a child to which Sam denies and walks away. Julian gets in to fight with Sam and Sam shoots Julian furiously. However Amelia sees Sam shooting Julian, learns that Sam is a hitman and runs. Sam follows her. But to Sam's dismay Amelia is shoot by Julian who is still luckily alive. Julian has been shot by the police and Sam is taken to the police station. There Sam is bailed out by Marcus, is given a second chance by the police and is advised to wear ankle tracker at all times by the police. When Sam returns to Hall's house he realizes he is not welcomed by everyone and not even by his best friend, Marcus. He realizes that Marcus is angry with him since he is the reason Amelia died. He asks for second chance to which Marcus denies. He realizes the only one who is good to him is Hope who has decided to stay with Sam since she doesn't have anyone to look after her. One day Marcus falls tremendously ill and goes to hospital and with little time to finish the other wishes Sam takes Hope along with him and fulfils one of Marcus's last wishes which is to donate eyes to Hope. With no donor for Hope, Sam decides to give both his eyes to her. He returns to Marcus in the hospital with the white board where Marcus has written his seven wishes. He informs Marcus that Hope has got a donor. Sam pretends to look normal and hides about his blindness but Marcus finds out Sam hiding about his blindness immediately as Marcus pretends to cross out one of the wish. Sam promises Marcus that he would fulfil his sixth wish of turning a corrupted person in to a decent human being. The two friends break in to tears before Marcus dies. When Sam returns to Marcus's room with Hope, he tells Hope about the seven dying wishes. With the board being right before them, Hope looks surprised and tells Sam that all the wishes has been crossed out except for number seven, which is to die peacefully. Sam realizes that Marcus has finally changed Sam in to a better person and has crossed out the sixth wish before he died. Hope finally crosses out number seven which is to die peacefully as she and Sam both learns and knows that Marcus has completed all his dying wishes and has indeed died peacefully.
