Synopsis/Details
MILA CLOVER who is in her late teens is struggling with her weight, her ability to raise her voice against domestic violence on her mother by her father and is unhappy for not getting the big break as a model in the fashion industry. Even though she is struggling she believes The Butterfly, a device that lets human control play their lives has benefited her and everyone in the world until things starts changing for her when she finds out she is pregnant with her boyfriend, TRAVIS’S child.
According to MINERVA WASHINGTON, the newly elected president, being different and breaking the rules can create instability and harm the community. Being an admirer of Madam President, Mila decides to raise the child and not go for abortion as it’s now a widely recognized crime and therefore not legal anymore. She starts forwarding her life through the control play of the butterfly and finds out that her baby, Mini lives in a horrible and unhygienic environment and that her daughter is underweight. She also finds out that she is a cashier at a fast food and that she is no longer chasing her dreams of becoming a model.
Mila breaks up with Travis who is no longer interested in her and soon she starts hanging out with a cashier, OLIVIA. Even though they start bonding and liking each other they agree that they won’t be together since homosexuality is considered sin in 2040 and LGBTQ community are not widely accepted anymore. Mila starts getting frustrated and when things couldn’t get worse for her she finds out that Mila’s father has killed her daughter, Mini.
Devastated and frustrated with the rules of the new Government and the butterfly, Mila rewinds her life and goes back to the time when she first finds out about her pregnancy. She decides to abort her daughter and lock the decision through her butterfly for good. The gossip of Mila aborting her baby and being homosexual spreads around the city and around United States. Anti-abortion activist and Anti LGBTQ activists swarms the streets and starts demanding for Mila’s death once they learn about her abortion and her new relationship with Olivia.
Mila and Olivia both joins rallies supporting LGBTQ, abortion and Race equality but learns the activists are scared of the police who are constantly threatening them. On the other hand Minerva gets angry with the operators of the butterfly who are working under her and threatens and kills them for not altering human decisions and not changing Mila’s locked decisions. Soon after Mila joins the rally Mila gets beaten up in the street by the people who are against her decisions and are standing united with the dictator president. Mila is forced to have a conversation with Minerva who threatens her to change her decision. However Mila takes a stand and decides to fight for freedom of the people.
Mila becomes friends with Travis and together with Olivia, Travis and other activists she starts rallying on the streets and demands to stop the butterfly which has been controlling people’s lives for a long time. The activist starts taking advantage of the control player of the butterfly and touches pause to save themselves from the police who are ready to kill them. While the policemen and journalists are being paused, Mila video records them live and gives the people message about how their life is being controlled and how their freedom has been taken away from the President.
Soon everything starts changing for better. Mila gets her first break as a model, she also raises her voice against the domestic violence faced by her mother and starts to accept and love her body features. Finally people starts supporting her which rages Minerva Washington and drives her to commit heinous crimes once again. She becomes revengeful and kills Olivia, Travis and Mila’s parents and threatens people in the United States and around the world that she would not spare anyone who dares try to raise their voice. With all her friends and fellow activists being killed and with all the people being threatened and helpless will Mila ever going to save people from the strict rules of Minerva Washington?
