Synopsis/Details
Da'rye, a troubled man in his early thirties, calls his best friend Audrin over under the pretense of discussing a strange dream. The evening begins innocuously with drinks and conversation about Da'rye's nightmare of burying himself alive. What follows is an extended, nightmarish daydream sequence where Da'rye's paranoia manifests as elaborate torture and revenge. In his mind, he discovers Audrin's affair with his wife Camille and systematically destroys everyone connected to the betrayal, murdering Audrin's children, mother, and wife in increasingly grotesque ways before finally killing both Audrin and Camille. The daydream ends, revealing Da'rye sitting calmly in his kitchen with Camille, who tries to comfort him. However, the discovery of incriminating text messages on her phone triggers the transition from fantasy to reality as Da'rye attacks his wife and calls Audrin over, suggesting the violent fantasy is about to become real.
