Synopsis/Details
Rosa, a determined Puerto Rican woman in her mid-twenties, invites her estranged mother Giselle to dinner under the pretense of reconciliation. The tension is immediate as Rosa confronts Giselle about lies told regarding her father. Through increasingly hostile dialogue, Rosa forces Giselle to admit she deliberately separated Rosa from her father not out of protection, but out of pure spite and revenge. Giselle reveals she wanted to hurt Rosa's father by making him lose his daughter. Rosa's father Romeo emerges from hiding, revealing he and Rosa have been secretly reunited for three months. The dinner was an elaborate setup to force Giselle to confess her manipulation. Rosa and Romeo leave together, abandoning Giselle to face the consequences of her actions alone.
