Synopsis/Details
Vietnam, 1968, Tet-Offensive: Sky Pilot follows Father Callahan, a U.S. Army chaplain deployed to Firebase Ripcord, a remote outpost under relentless siege. As the war crushes the souls of the young men around him, Callahan is the last flicker of faith in the darkness, offering comfort where bullets and prayers mix in the mud.
But faith does not shield him from war. After a brutal VC sniper attack forces Callahan to make a deadly choice, his carefully held beliefs begin to fracture. He wrestles with the morality of killing, the burden of saving those who cannot be saved, and the question of whether God is truly listening.
As enemy forces launch an all-out assault, Callahan is forced into the ultimate test of faith—can he still believe in redemption in a world that seems forsaken? And when the smoke clears, will he walk away with his soul intact?
Sky Pilot is a gritty, emotionally charged war drama in the vein of Saving Private Ryan and Hacksaw Ridge, exploring the clash between faith and survival in one of history’s most unforgiving battlefields.
