Synopsis/Details
"Quarter-Finalist in Filmatic Short Screenplay Awards 2021" "Offical Selection in The Shark Short Film Awards 2021" "Top 35% of Discoverable scripts on Coverfly" An animated short script about Eleanor (age 7) who is inspired by her Grandmother's history in WW2 as part of the WASP'S (Women Airforce Service Pilots), however, tears flow after the untimely death of her Grandmother. Eleanor is sad with grief and her goofy single Father attempts to cheer up by throwing paper areoplanes at her when she lays unresponsive on her bed. When one hits her on the head, she gets an idea. Eleanor rushes to the dusty back garden of her farmhouse and folds coloured paper in a range of brilliant and faulty paper areoplanes. She throws each of them and accepts the design which flys furthest. Now comes the challenge. To make the world's largest paper aeroplane, launch it into the sky, and fly on it. The script is warm, family-friendly, and is packed with meaning and emotion for a short length of 5 pages where not a single character speaks a word

The Writer: STEVEN BLOWS

After enjoying the life of a reader for many years I am now a passionate writer compelled to create fantastical fiction in varying genres. With a focus on writing feature-length screenplays and experimenting with potential ideas in the form of short stories/scripts. Not a day goes by when I am not working on my latest screenplay, engaged in a writing group, or expanding my knowledge of cinematic practices. I aim to explore this world through writing. I have four completed feature-length spec scripts and fourteen short scripts of varying lengths from 3-24 pages long. Among other awards, my script 'THE MIGHTY VARIANTS' has been awarded a Quarter-Finalist place in the Final Draft Big Break… Go to bio
