Synopsis/Details
A futuristic waiting room with three couples. All different. All hopeful. Their eyes peeled on the door of the Evaluations Office. Who will be the lucky pair, the ones qualified to accept the seed?
Pyxis, the evaluations officer, pores over their dossiers, interviews each couple with probing questions about... vacations, gifts, gambling, mortgages. Who do these people think they are, expecting to be chosen as recipients of the seed?
Their evaluations finished, they wait. Pyxis emerges, a vial containing the seed, lifted high for all to honor. The choice has been made. The seed will be granted to one of the couples. But, which one? And why? And just what will sprout when this highly-prized seed is germinated? A perfect, genetically-coded life-form, perhaps?
