Synopsis/Details
Tara is a beautiful, self-assured dominatrix. She is fully aware of her animalistic allure and intellectual prowess, relishing in the malignant pleasure that she is a very dangerous entity. Gerrard is a good looking muscular bartender who is the best cocktail mixer in town. His closely guarded secret is that he is a recovering alcoholic, knowing full well that his choice of vocation keeps him just one sip away from relapse. When Tara sashays into Gerrard's bar, there is no question that she has targetted him, and there is also no doubt in her mind that he will be hers before the night is over. Gerrard, who is tending to another customer, notices Tara's entrance and is intrigued enough to cut short his conversation with his regular in order to provide a lighter for Tara's cigarette. This is the flame that ignites a slow-burning fuse on a powder keg of clashing egos. Flirtatious Tara entices Gerrard with suggestive remarks, while Gerrard, in turn, performs a sensual display of creating a personal cocktail for his stunning guest. The scene is set for a bout of intellectual sparring in which Tara informs Gerrard that she knows that he is hiding a dark secret, which serves to disarm her opponent for a few seconds. Gerrard manages to recompose himself as Tara suggests a game of 'kiss and tell' where she tricks him into imbibing vodka, causing Gerrard to lose his temper, berating Tara and abruptly ending the game. Tara leaves. Later, Gerrard is cleaning the bar area when suddenly he is aware that Tara has returned. She seduces him and they retire to Gerrard's apartment where there is a sexual encounter that in turn dissolves into an alcohol influenced violent situation that ends in an unexpected yet very eerie conclusion.

The Writer: Martin Cox

My name is Martin Cox and I am an Englishman, London born and bred but now a proud American citizen, domiciled in fabulous Las Vegas with my beautiful Asian wife Anita. Yes, I am very blessed!. I feel extremely humbled to join the Script Revolution and be in the company of so many talented writers. Since childhood, I have had a love affair with the written word, weaving copious amounts of rhyming tapestries, essays and plays for my fellow students to share and perform in. This was when I initially experienced the total intoxication of hearing others breath life into my written words. How wondrous the feeling. And I have been fortunate enough to prolong that addiction throughout the years… Go to bio
