Synopsis/Details
Originally written for an online writer's tournament, Dr. Schnederly, Mobile Psychiatrist is an absurdist horror/comedy. The contest challenge called for 5 pages (since expanded slightly) that must include a psychiatrist's office and a bobblehead. It was also required to be a fusion of two genres. I wanted to write a live-action comedy with a bit of a Pixar feel to it, yet include the twist of a shocking element... in this case: horror. I think you'll find this short fun and colorful. I've also included just a pinch of social commentary within the pages. I've considered writing a fresh version, dropping the horror element, and drawing the comedy straight through, but that's for another day. If you like what you see, and wish to film it, but would prefer the straight comedy... I'll write that up. Enjoy!

Much of my work has global appeal, evidenced by successful productions (multiple festival award winning shorts) in the UK, UAE and US--along with options in Australia, Russia, India, Canada and Thailand. Born and raised in St. Louis, I’ve lived in multiple small towns around Missouri, and now Kansas. My projects often center on life in the… Go to bio
