Synopsis/Details
Dante is a sociopathic, solitary, and depressed police officer, always on the brink of calling it quits.
Something terrible happened in his past and it profoundly changed him.
He has a gift.
In places where a violent episode has occurred, he is able to absorb, like a sponge, a sort of reddish
mist, like the residue of wickedness, allowing him to observe the last minutes of the murdered
person's life.
He lives his waking life, witnessing violence and murders, and the few times he manages to sleep, he
has nightmares so terrifying they leave him shattered and anguished.
His only friend, Virgil, has invented a substance capable of amplifying Dante's gift, and just like in the
Divine Comedy, he accompanies his colleague to Hell to find clues and evidence to nail the culprit.
Despised even by his own colleagues and feared as if he were some kind of mad sorcerer, tormented
by memories and eager to die, Dante observes what happens at murder scenes, like an invisible and
incorporeal ghost. However, when he locks eyes with the last murderer, a brutal monster who seems
to have his same power and even gets injured during a vision, a hunt begins where reality and
nightmare, prey and hunter, become blurred.
Dante is forced to abuse Virgil's drug in an attempt to stop the brutal killer, but the substance has
completely unexpected side effects, and what seemed impossible suddenly becomes the only
possibility for salvation.
