Synopsis/Details
A man is desperately running through a forest until he falls and loses some papers he was
carrying in a folder. When he comes to, he realizes he has lost his memory of the past few
days, and that he is a detective. John Stone.
Among the papers he gathers are his own investigation notes on the case of a kidnapped
child, Ethan Sanders, for whom a ransom has been demanded. Meanwhile, an unusual and
unprecedented tide is about to occur due to abnormal lunar activity, expected to swallow
several meters of coastline for hours: an event closely followed by all local TV stations.
As the detective struggles to recover his memory and piece together the events of the last few
days, he teams up with the kidnapped child’s parents. Apparently, Stone already knew Ethan’s
parents before the incident, and his superior has stopped answering calls and seems to have
disappeared as well.
In just 48 hours, the tide will reach its peak, and those same 48 hours mark the ransom
deadline. However, the kidnapper has not reached out again to set a time or place for the
money exchange.
The further the investigation progresses alongside his partner, Detective Sharon Devereaux,
the clearer it becomes that what they had uncovered before Stone lost his memory, was some
kind of connection between the tide and the place where young Ethan is being held captive.
When the tide reaches its highest point, the boy will drown in his prison.
It seems that the child’s salvation is hidden within the shattered mind of the detective.
