Nimrods

NIMRODS is a half hour Supernatural Historical Horror Comedy about Colonial Vampire Hunters. This was a real thing. Confused with tuberculosis, people believed vampires fed on the innocent at night, so they would dig up the bodies and burn their remains. Our show takes this further, imagining vampires prowling the early American colonies, wolves in sheep's clothing. Since anyone could be a vampire, the show is formatted like a murder mystery, but tone-wise more like Our Flag Means Death. Our ensemble cast is led by Francis Spencer, a pampered dilettante from a long line of vampire hunters. Francis hasn't lived up to his family's reputation. Eager to make a name for himself, Francis jumps on a boat and heads to America, where he is ridiculed by locals, undermined by authorities, and far from home. Along the way, he'll recruit new hunters and cross paths with some of our nation's forefathers, horny inventor Ben Franklin, bartender Sam Adams, and silversmith slash weaponsmith Paul Revere. With the success of historical parodies like Dickinson and The Great, there is a clear love for contemporary satire set against a historical backdrop… …just you know, with vampires.
