Synopsis/Details
Actually Janosch (37) only wanted to stroll through his dead home Mienswalde, district Reckesen and maybe find the former house of Teemu, before he goes to the big reunion of his high school. However, Janosch never expected that the end of the reunion would be the renewed beginning of his never-ending search for his past small town love.  For over 25 years, Janosch has been searching for Teemu. Trying to understand, to close, and to forget. Still somehow runs after a ghost, his ghost, his first true love, but all Janno finds is just more and more new clues not to give up his hunt. To locate Teemu after so many years of pain, loss and obscurity, after all.  The path of knowledge through the old neighborhood, makes Janosch rediscover the good old days, the intimacy and familiarity of his teenage times with Teemu. Again and again flashes, revealed puzzle pieces and fragments of images and feelings hit through Janosch's heart and memory. He wants to make his very last attempt and finally chuck in that letter. Finally be able to let go, thanks to the words in the woods after the reunion. A reunion, which was only supposed to be a distraction, a fieldtrip, but then turns Janosch's world completely upside down again. Questions pop up. Janosch’s fantasies and his unanswered curiosity are cranked up. A soliloquy begins. A pep talk not to give up; to fight for love, however it has turned out. At least to fight for Teemu the human being. It is a gift with long lasting effects on Janosch's real life. Janosch must ask himself how he deals with what he experienced then in his reality today? Does he still act as he did as a disoriented 15-year-old, or does he let go and live as Teemu probably has for the past 25 years? All the memories Janosch has rush like a dream and that's how the story feels. It is the trip back to the carefree teeny time. The isolated confrontation with the unresolved of youth and the letting go of the ballast that has dragged along into adult life. It is a quest, a dive into such a warm and beautiful, unspoken connection and the last attempt to give new life to the so precious friendship before Janosch has to start the all-sealing trip back into his own life.

The Writer: Kay Becker

I am a creative force in writing film & series scripts, as well as conceptualizing TV and online shows. When I was six years old, I got my first movie role and from that money I immediately bought my first TV set. Since then, I was mesmerized by movies, series, stories, twists and turns. I knew the TV guide inside out and can proudly say: Yes, I´m a movie addict. Only I didn't realize my potential back then. Had to go ways that one should go to become an adult. I was born in Potsdam ´85 and grew up as a classic fringe child. Moving several times between Berlin and Brandenburg, I decided to finish high school in Falkensee and not emigrate with my family to Switzerland. Since the age of… Go to bio
