Synopsis/Details
Angela and David appear to be a loving Puerto Rican couple enjoying dinner at a restaurant. David suggests they should try a threesome, which Angela initially dismisses. Unknown to Angela, David is already having an affair with their waitress, Nicole, who is pressuring him to include Angela in their sexual encounters. At home, David continues pushing the threesome idea while Angela remains hesitant. Meanwhile, at work, Angela faces sexual harassment from her coworker Wendy, who spreads false rumors about Angela's sexuality. The central conflict erupts when Angela becomes suspicious of David's behavior. When he claims to be visiting his friend Jay, Angela follows him and discovers he's actually at a seedy motel. She witnesses David entering a room where Nicole waits with another woman for a threesome. Rather than confronting them immediately, Angela processes this devastating betrayal privately. The next morning, she pretends nothing happened while David boasts about his "night with Jay." Angela strategically suggests they return to the restaurant, setting up her confrontation. At work, tensions escalate when Wendy's rumors about Angela's supposed lesbianism spread among their coworkers. Angela violently confronts Wendy, slapping her and throwing coffee in her face, making it clear she won't tolerate lies or harassment. The climax occurs at the restaurant where Angela confronts both David and Nicole publicly. In a dramatic scene witnessed by other patrons, Angela reveals she knows about their affair and the threesome. She rejects Nicole's assumption that she wants to join them, instead choosing to walk away from both the marriage and the toxic situation. David initially tries to continue his relationship with Nicole, but quickly realizes he's lost something irreplaceable. Nicole attempts to comfort him, suggesting they don't need Angela, but David recognizes that Nicole represents temporary pleasure while Angela represents genuine love and loyalty. The resolution shows David alone, drinking at a bar, refusing advances from other women as he stares at a photo of Angela. He's left to contemplate whether his sexual desires were worth destroying his marriage. Angela has disappeared, having left David a voicemail explaining that his selfish pursuit of sexual fantasy destroyed their love.
