Synopsis/Details
Ghosts are real, but they aren’t the spirits of the dead. Sheet-draped figures less than a foot tall, they are intelligent, inquisitive and not nearly as scary as people were lead to believe.
When RUSSELL dies his best friend SPOOK – a little ghost with a big heart – is devastated. Worse than that, she’s left alone with Russell’s sister MARGOT and her husband SEBASTIAN, who don’t like Spook at all. Having killed Russell by withholding his heart medication in order to inherit his vast wealth, the heartless couple trick Spook and abandon her in a forest miles from home, and tell detectives JOHN MATHESON and MICHELLE PARKER that Spook caused Russell’s death.
Lost and alone, scared little Spook struggles to find her way home, braving winter storms, traffic, security patrols and vicious guard dogs, and has to risk her life to get the truth of Russell’s death to the police.
“Spook” is a heart-breaking and heart-warming story of love, friendship, bravery and determination that I believe will appeal to audiences of all ages and fans of cute and spooky characters, and has excellent potential for merchandising.
