Synopsis/Details
When a drugs bust at a rave club goes dramatically wrong resulting in numerous deaths, vice squad detective Razor Wolf finds herself relegated to investigating cold cases at the impound lot, now a pariah at the precinct and seething at the press who have scapegoated her. Wolf soon discovers something strange and scary at the pound: some of the cars have the ability to pull her into a terrifying vision of the deaths that occurred in them. The visions allow a unique perspective on the crimes, which can help her solve the crimes but there are, however, two major drawbacks. Actually experiencing everything the victim did causes extreme stress on her body, and that trauma could eventually kill her. The second issue is far scarier: it is possible to break free of the vision and end up in a rift in reality, a disturbing version of the time and place of the vision. She’s not alone in there; Van Xant has also experienced the visions and the Rift, and reveals a terrifying secret - that world is populated by dangerous creatures, and an attack by these “demons” has left his partner trapped there. The two outcasts make a somewhat uneasy partnership; Van Xant will help Wolf solve some of the cold cases if she helps him in an attempt to find his partner. It’s a partnership that could have terrifying and deadly ramifications for the entire city…if not the world.
