On Christmas Eve, Jack, a disfigured man sits by the fireplace drinking a glass of cognac explaining the joy of Christmas and how it brings family together, but unfortunately he won't be able to spend time with his family because they were killed in a car crash. From grief to having his eyes set on revenge, he turns to face Nathan who he has tied down to a chair. He tells him a few words before revealing a special gift he has lined up for him.
