Synopsis/Details
Thirty years in the future, the Republic of Manhattan is a walled island fortress due to the HIZ zombie virus that's slowing sweeping the planet. 18-year old Jool Kapp feels like a prisoner in her father's mansion on the north side, where all the rich people live. She travels to the south end to go to a street fair to see how 'the other half' lives, where she meets Rommy Mont, a cute but shy hipster. They fall in love at first sight, and then realize to their horror that their parents will forbid their love. And indeed they do. Rommy's best friend Merk is a bit of science whiz. In fact, he's developed a vaccine for the virus, and wants to see if it works, so when his sister Gaga gets infected and ejected from the Republic, he sets off to find her. On the morning they plan to elope, Rommy arrives at their Time Square destination a bit early, and gets bitten by an 'infected,' and is ejected from the Republic. Then in an odd twist of fate, Jool too gets bitten, and is quarantined in her father's Park Avenue mansion. Outside the Republic in the wastelands of New Jersey, Rommy meets Brick Cosmo, an infected leader of a revolutionary army, who plans on taking over the Republic, and who has befriended the exiled Gaga. Rommy joins the group, and together, they decide invade the Republic -- and when Merk finds them, they all go on the mission together. The ragtag group successfully penetrates the walled city and Rommy goes on the adventure of his life as he and the revolutionaries fights zombies on his mission to save Jool and give her the cure. ZOMBIE & JULIET is an action/horror/comedy with a big heart. Two lovers. Six infected revolutionaries. A million zombies. You do the math.
