Synopsis/Details
Evan and his family live a rather normal life, just doing the exact same thing day in and day out. One quiet afternoon, while at work, Evan receives a phone call from his fiance. When he answers, his life and his family's life has suddenly changed, as he is told the house he and the four others have been living in has suddenly, without warning, gone up in flames. Force to live out in a hotel until a new place is found, this is a character drive study film which showcases just how each person's reactions to such an event differ. Focused on the family as a unit, the script follows them during their transitional period while they find a new place to live. Based on an actual event I as the writer experienced, although I have changed greatly for story purposes.

The Writer: Evan Filley

I was born in California, but spent my formitive years in a small town located in Maine. I have been writing short stories since i was probably 8 years old, I have always had great enjoyment telling stories to make my friends laugh, but now as I've grown older, many genres have made me want to continue to write more and more. While being a director would be an amazing achievement for me and my family, my first and foremost passion has been script writing, since I was 12 years old, and discovered the art. When I saw JAWS for the first time, that was the film that clicked with me, and something went off in my head that said 'that's what I want to do, what Mr. Spielberg does, I want that.'… Go to bio
