Synopsis/Details
MICAH PHILIPS (30s) is a man at the top of his career and the bottom of his luck. On the cusp of receiving the promotion he has been waiting his entire career for, there is only one thing standing in the way of his happiness. See, Micah has a little problem. He loves women. Well, mostly he just loves sleeping with them. His real issue lies in his inability to get rid of them when they’ve outlived their usefulness. He has never been able to successfully break up with a woman by normal means. When his latest one-night-stand, GWEN (30s), bombards him with unwanted phone calls, he entrusts his assistant with the responsibility of sending a "Dear Jane" email. His assistant, sick and tired of having to do his dirty work, takes some creative liberty and emails a marriage proposal instead. With the already difficult situation now escalated exponentially, Micah must find a way to break up with Gwen before she plans the entire wedding. Before he can do so, he makes a startling discovery. Gwen is the daughter of his tough-as-nails boss, BYRON MATTHEWS (50s). Byron further complicates things by giving Micah a not-so-subtle ultimatum: marry my daughter or else. Not only is he at risk of losing his promotion, but his job and possibly several body parts as well. Despite the constant urging from his best friend DOMINIC (30s) to send Gwen packing, Micah decides he has worked too hard to lose his promotion now and goes along with the charade. It isn’t long before Gwen’s zany antics start to lose their effect on Micah and a mutual attraction forms. Micah may be on the verge and getting his cake and eating it, too. Or not. Just minutes after giving his acceptance speech at his promotion gala, Dominic drops a bombshell on him; one that may threaten his relationship with Gwen as well as his new promotion.
