Synopsis/Details
In a futuristic society obsessed with order and certainty, every person is scanned at birth to determine the exact day they will die. This number dictates everything—your career, your income, even who you're allowed to marry. Long-lifers live like billionaires. Short-lifers are discarded, trapped in a system that offers them little more than survival. Finn, a quiet, unremarkable janitor with just 32 years to live, is resigned to his fate. But when he inexplicably survives his death day—and his long-lifer girlfriend dies in his place—he becomes the most wanted man in the world. Swept into hiding by a mysterious woman who also outlived her death date, Finn discovers he was unknowingly raised as part of a secret experiment by a rogue scientist trying to dismantle the system from within. As the truth about the death date technology begins to unravel, Finn must decide whether to remain in the shadows—or risk everything to expose the lie his entire world is built upon.
