Synopsis/Details
Bree, a lonely housewife in her 30s, is consumed by a deep yearning for the family she can’t have, especially as she watches her best friend Gabe’s perfect life with his wife Lisa and their young daughter Chelsea. Struggling with infertility and trapped in an abusive marriage to her unfaithful husband Vince, Bree’s longing for their happiness intensifies her feelings of inadequacy. During the preparations for Chelsea’s fifth birthday party, tragedy strikes when Gabe accidentally leaves the gate to their swimming pool open. In the midst of the celebration, Chelsea wanders outside and drowns, devastating both families. But soon after the tragedy, Bree begins to experience haunting visits from Chelsea’s ghost. The child's spirit reveals a secret Bree thought was buried long ago—one that threatens to destroy her fragile marriage and destroy her close bond with Gabe. As the haunting intensifies, Bree descends into a spiral of guilt and fear, torn between the haunting echoes of her past and the dread of her dark secret being exposed. Desperate to protect herself and silence the ghost, Bree finds herself contemplating extreme measures that may go too far. Guilt is a psychological horror-drama that explores the terrifying consequences of deception, buried secrets, and the unbearable weight of guilt, as Bree’s efforts to hide the truth slowly unravel her sanity.
