Synopsis/Details
DELILAH QUINN (26) is a devout Christian and meticulous mortician, married to GIDEON QUINN (42), a revered pastor whose sermons stir souls—but whose affection for Delilah has grown cold and distant. For ten years, she’s clung to her vows and her faith, hoping love will bloom where duty has withered.
That illusion shatters when Delilah discovers a hidden list in Gideon’s study—names of deceased parishioners, all crossed out... except one. Confronting him, she learns the terrifying truth: Gideon believes he is chosen by God to “cleanse” sinners through murder, and Delilah’s work at the morgue has unknowingly helped conceal his crimes.
Horrified, Delilah seeks out the final person on the list, BENJAMIN HARRIS, desperate to warn him without implicating herself. But her efforts come too late—Benjamin ends up on her autopsy table, and Gideon demands she label the death a suicide.
When Delilah finally defies him and alerts authorities, she’s stunned to find her own name added to Gideon’s list.
Cornered and terrified, Delilah prepares to poison Gideon to save herself—but at the last moment, she relents. That night, she finds him gasping for air, a wine glass on the nightstand. Whether by fate or accident, Gideon dies. Overcome with guilt, she’s haunted by a disturbing discovery: her name has been erased from the list… replaced with his.
Panicked, Delilah hides his body in her morgue and reaches out to a trusted friend, OFFICER FROCK, but by the time he arrives, Gideon’s corpse has vanished. Declared mentally unstable, Delilah is placed on psychiatric hold—until Gideon suddenly returns, alive and transformed into the doting husband she always wished for.
Now free and faced with the man—or thing—that wears her husband's face, Delilah must confront a horrifying possibility: has she been given a second chance… or invited something far darker into her life?
The 6th Commandment is a chilling psychological thriller that explores blind faith, the price of guilt, and the terrifying question of whether redemption is a blessing—or a curse.
