Synopsis/Details
Onto a small street moves Jennifer with her son Toby. She has made a quick exit from her old home which she shared with Toby’s father. Opposite live Ben and Margot Flannery and their son, ‘Simon’. Margot introduces herself to Jennifer and a warm relationship ensues. Jennifer also meets the eccentric Mrs Keegan who lives on the same street. One night, whilst gazing out of his window, Toby gets his first glimpse of ‘Simon’, a pale, flaky skinned demon who is keen to make friends. Over the next few nights Toby has more distanced encounters with ‘Simon’. When Jennifer hears of his strange appearance from Toby she finds out from the Flannery’s that Simon is ill and confined to his room. Eventually ‘Simon’ escapes from his room, turns on his parents and goes missing. A few months later, Jennifer is reconciled with Toby’s father and is out on a date. Babysitting Toby is Mrs Keegan, who tells Toby she knows where ‘Simon’ is and that he is hungry. Toby runs to the back door where ‘Simon’ appears, just as Mrs Keegan planned.
