Synopsis/Details
A short tale of an outdated Robot boy. Built to be a surrogate friend for the rich. Now he has been surpassed by bigger and better machines. Someone forgot to turn him off or crush him so he wanders the city of the future looking for someone to play with and be his friend. As he wanders, he is ridiculed by the citizens of the day as completely useless and not fit for scrap. Thinking about finally pressing his auto-destruct button he is startled by the cries of a young boy. The boy has lost his ball down a hole and Robot boy comes over and uses his extendable arm to rescue it. In the act of helping the crying boy, Robot boy makes a friend and his reason for being is once again fulfilled.
