Synopsis/Details
A spacecraft with six crew members is on a mission to deliver postal goods to an ever-growing Martian colony when the vessel experiences a power outage. As the crew goes to work to find the problem, the German Information Technologist gets bitten by an unidentified creature that roams within the walls. His small injury soon becomes a major threat when the crew realizes that some unknown, flesh-eating virus infected him. Once the crew learns that everyone is contaminated and that they’re not allowed to land on Mars unless they catch the creature and find an antidote to insure the total safety of the Martian colony, the race against the clock begins. To make matters worse, the creature chews up half the ship and causes a fire and an explosion that destroys the water recycling system and the oxygen generator. Facing a deadly virus, water shortage and the danger of hypoxia (lack of oxygen) also triggers conflict in the interpersonal relationships. The Russian Commander turns out to be an unscrupulous thug, the Doctor and Physician has an extramarital affair with consequences, the Aerospace Engineer suffers from PTSD and the shy Research Scientist has a secret crush. What has begun as a simple mission to Mars has now turned into a journey of self-discovery and a test of the human condition under pressure.
