Synopsis/Details
Doug and "Screaming Mad Howard" are FX artists - of the foam latex and Karo syrup kind. Hired by spoiled film student Vincent to shoot an indie slasher flick, they head out into the woods with a ragtag group of actors for a weekend of camping, guerrilla film making and - of course - buckets of gore. ...and get off to a lousy start. The film crew gets lost en-route - running into a group of dangerous looking hillbillies along the way. Then there's the mud, lack of budget.... and the ever changing script. Things can't get worse. Or can they? That question's answered when an accident with one of the FX props leads to the lead actor's death... and sends an already unstable Vincent off his mental rails. Faced with a project crumbling to pieces, Vincent plots with his cinematographer to continue the shoot - using the remaining actors as real victims! Will Doug, Howard and the others save the day? Or end up looking like a Savini gore effect? Written with a heavy dose of dark meta comedy, Target Practice is Hostel, meets the Hills Have Eyes and Scream... all rolled into one!
