Accompanied by two of her closest friends, she vows to go vegan - and quickly discovers the lifestyle more complicated than it first appeared. As her experiment progresses, Melissa finds herself battling conflicts at home, at school, and with her increasingly radicalized friend Dan. Things come to a head when Dan tricks Melissa into liberating animals at a nearby farm - with disasterous consequences. Melissa finds herself facing expulsion - and the ultimate crisis of faith.
