The 805 area code is a bustling, low-income neighborhood with an iconic apartment building, San Gabriel Arcángel, at its center—and a reputation as “The dark side of the road.” Ghosts, demons, and other ghouls call the 805 their home, tormenting humans with little restraint. Most of these supernatural entities are up to no good, adding a sinister edge to the already lively community. One person who can confront the supernatural is Davy Gato. By day, he takes care of his Abuelita and pushes brooms to pay the bills. By night, he wields “The Sight Beyond Sight,” a supernatural power that reveals people’s auras and the hidden world of spirits. Not only can Davy see ghosts, but he can also fight demons, a secret that even his closest friends in his band, Ninja Cupcakes, don’t know. Cheeze, the band’s drummer with constant “Cheetos fingers,” dreams of creating an 805 Paranormal TV show, while Paco “DJ Punx” adds beats and bass to their sound. When Davy and Ninja Cupcakes are invited to a lavish party at the Mobius Paradise Estates, his “Sight” reveals the dark truth behind the event. During Esmeralda’s death dance of Kali, Davy sees her transform into “La Demonia,” a cutthroat businesswoman with a lust for power. Overwhelmed by the glowing red auras of the underworld crowd, Davy encounters Zell, a fallen archangel disguised as a refined businessman. Zell tempts Davy with an irresistible offer to produce Cheeze’s ghost-hunting show, all while secretly plotting to use Davy’s abilities to unleash Armageddon.
