STORY:
This heart-pounding epic follows the breathtaking journey of Bunker Spreckels, a penniless surfer who transforms from a wave-riding novice to an eccentric millionaire after inheriting his family's sugar fortune following his absent father's demise. Guided by a group of Hawaiian natives, Bunker learns the secrets of the waves and gains invaluable insights into the local culture. His journey takes a mystical turn when he encounters Tua, an old kahuna, who becomes his mentor in the art of crafting surfboards, and soon Bunker, now a 21-year-old sensation, astounds the world with his innovative shortboard creations.
The plot takes an electrifying twist when Bunker, clad in a flamboyant three-piece suit, orchestrates a daring rock-n-roll heist on an upscale bank, eyeing a staggering $50 million haul. A wild ride follows as Bunker stashes the loot in his "secret cave," a converted fallout shelter stocked with surfboards, relics, and emergency supplies. As the newfound wealth transforms him, Bunker embarks on a global tour of opulence, proclaiming the establishment of business offices in luxurious locales amid increasing decadence.
Love enters the scene in the form of Valerie Peters, the woman of Bunker's dreams. At the height of his delusions, Bunker envisions immortalizing his eccentric life in a groundbreaking documentary/movie, fueled by drugs and recruiting Alfonso Gomez to capture his martial arts skills and gun collection on film. Partying at exclusive nightclubs, Bunker's public display of receiving favors from adoring female fans sparks controversy and disapproval. Unfazed, Bunker becomes a mentor to Tony Alva, the world's first skateboarding champion, showcasing his role as a trailblazer in more ways than one.
