SILVER - TALES OF AN ASSASSIN
A professional hitman becomes the Syndicate’s most wanted when he refuses to carry out a contract on a beloved neighborhood priest.
Silver is a hard-boiled action film for a broad audience. The through-line of the story is REDEMPTION.
STORY:
The city’s leading crime organization, the Syndicate, rules with an iron fist.
In a move to control the city, the Syndicate hires freelance shadow man SILVER for a series of high-profile hits. He hopes the huge payoff will erase his mounting debt and the mortgage to his languishing bakery. Once just a front, the bakery is now his American dream.
Silver’s first marks are just white-collar riffraff. A master killer, Silver disguises himself as a gardener at a lavish mansion and makes the first hit look like an accidental drowning. Each name on the hit list is accompanied by instructions for the method of their demise. Some require sending a message to enemies, while others are a simple run and gun job.
However, when the target is a popular neighborhood priest, FATHER ACOSTA, Silver struggles with his own moral code. He doubts the nasty child molestation accusations levied against the priest, especially after learning the priest assists gang members to escape “La Vida Loca.”
Making matters worse, the ailing crime lord dies declaring his college-age daughter heiress to the Syndicate. Putting her dead father’s appetite for power to shame, the heiress is quick to violence and demands Silver kill the priest immediately.
With the clock ticking Silver must search his soul to decide whether to snuff the priest and reap the reward, or break the contract and forfeit his own life.
