Synopsis/Details
- A western with a supernatural twist. A grounded western with a twinge of supernatural to keep the story unique and fresh. Tom Perkins and Job Ashworth grew up together in the nearly lawless border between Louisianna and Texas just prior to the Civil War (an area known then as 'The Neutral Country'). Though they were maternal cousins, their lives could not have been more different: one the son of a prosperous horse rancher, the other an orphan taken in and forced to be his abusive uncle's ranch hand. After suffering a near-fatal wound during the Civil War, and being nursed back to health by his cousin Job, Tom Perkins ventures west to Texas where he becomes a Texas Ranger. Job Ashworth, on the other hand, squanders his inherited fortune and turns to a life of crime. It was no surprise then, when Perkins discovers his cousin's face splashed across a wanted poster, and also no surprise that Perkins feels a personal debt forces him to personally bring in Job alive. But things take a turn for the surreal when Perkins crosses over into New Mexico and encounters a mysterious traveler ALSO searching for Job Ashworth. Do they both have the same goal: bringing in Ashworth alive? Or does the odd stranger have motives Perkins could never imagine in his worse nightmares?
