I had to cut a longer version of The Witter Merchants to fit competition page limit requirements. This montage was one of the casualties.

Synopsis/Details

When Queen Elizabeth I died after ruling her realm for 45 years, the people were deeply worried about their future. They were very relieved when King James VI of Scotland was chosen to succeed her and the transition was a peaceful one.

I contrast the deep mourning over the Queen's death and funeral with the joyful welcome, acclamation and acceptance of King James I as the new Monarch.
