Womb Stone is a play in four acts.
Lilian wants a baby. Marcos, her older husband, who already has a teenage daughter from his first marriage isn't keen to start another family.
Feeling depressed at her childless condition and stifled by her humdrum life in the suburbs Lilian skips off to Marrakech. She buys a womb stone from the beautiful vendor, Yasmina, who tells Lilian that womb stones promote fertility. they become friends and Lilian falls in love with Yasmina's charismatic brother, Amir.
Marcos shows up unexpectedly at Lilian's hotel and orders her to return to England with him.
Lilian adamantly refuses.
Yasmina takes Lilian and Marcos on an evening street food tour in the Medina. A hideous old snake-charmer drapes a snake around Lilian's shoulders and demands money. Marcos removes the snake and flings some coins on the ground to get rid of the persistent handler.
A near hysterical Lilian begs Marcos to take her home. He promises they will leave the next day and travel back via Spain so they can visit his mother in Cordoba.
At the hotel that night, as Marcos prepares for bed, Lilian slips the womb stone under her pillow.
Eight and a half months later Yasmina visits them in England and is overjoyed to see that Lilian is heavily pregnant. The same day, Marcos's younger brother, Reynaldo, returns from Spain bringing their Mama with him.
Lilian goes into labour, giving birth to a son, Liam.
A week later, Amir stops by and it is evident to Lilian's mother, Bitsy, that Lilian is in love with him. She counsels Lilian that now she's a mother, she must put Liam and Marcos first.
Amir takes Yasmina back to Marrakech. A month later, Bitsy and Reynaldo visit them in Marrakech. Lulu accompanies her grandmother back to Cordoba.
The final act finds Lilian and Marcos alone with baby Liam. Marcos is now a very proud and happy father.
Although Lilian loves Marcos and Liam she strives to hide that she is heartbroken and lovesick for Amir.
