Synopsis/Details
All over the world, things start to change color. A man's house becomes purple, his dog green. Soon, the president is on the air reporting that entire states are changing color. Overseas, nations are doing the same. The changes, while odd and unexplained, don't seem to be harmful. On a local farm, a man's cows still deliver white milk - despite them and the grass they eat having changed color. An astronaut on the ISS reports that the Earth now looks like a crazy quilt.
On a distant planet, an alien father returns home from work to find his son playing with a planet - the Earth. The son feels bad because it was one of his first projects, and he feels he didn't do a good job on it. Blue sky, green grass. Boring! He's going to change it, liven it up.
His dad reminds him to be careful with that planet. The people on it have always been such trouble. The son says he thinks he knows why: Long ago, he made them all different colors - white, black, brown, red. This gave some of them the idea that they were better than others. To make them stop this behavior, he's going to make all of the planet's inhabitants the same color.
He's leaning towards gray.
