Synopsis/Details
A FAMILY TO KILL FOR
Twins Dave and Paul were separated at birth by adoption. Thirty eight years later Dave is a tool maker living with his mother. They live in a small terraced house. Paul is a high flyer living with his wife, and two children in a large four bed detached house.
Dave’s mother dies leaving him the house, and sixteen thousand pounds. Dave discovers a gun amongst his mothers possessions. After nearly twenty years in a machine shop, Dave decides to become a taxi driver. He does this to be out and about in the hope of meeting someone.
He begins an affair with his very first fare Caroline (20) Dave makes a silencer for the gun in his home workshop. After watching the family and their routine, Dave uses his car and an electric scooter to murder Paul. He shoots him once in the back of the head on his drive. To the police it looks like an execution.
In the meantime Dave bides his time, and continues to see Caroline. She begins to get in the way, so Dave digs a grave for her in some dense bush. On the pretext of seeing some fox cubs in the woods Dave makes a date with Caroline. Initially unknown to us in Dave’s imagination we see him carry out her murder.
On the day of the date Caroline cancels, telling Dave “I have met a young bloke with a Ferrari” At the supermarket Dave punctures the tire of Michele’s car Paul’s wife. He changes, the wheel for her, and gives her a business card. He runs into her again at the park, and kicks a ball around with the kids. Later he takes them all for a pizza.
After some dates, and several months later Dave and Michele get married. Whilst out for the evening, Jane Michele’s sister finds a gun and silencer hidden in Dave’s workshop. Caroline reappears on the scene, they make a date to see the fox cubs. Dave murders her at the already made grave. An unseen witness sees Dave and Caroline enter the woods.
Michele discovers she’s married her brother in law while dealing with Dave’s pass port application. She informs the police who advise her to say nothing. After a tip off Caroline’s body is discovered along with her phone. Dave’s photo and number are on the phone. They also discover Caroline and Paul were killed with the same gun.
The police conduct a search of Michele and Dave’s house, but fail to find anything. Dave quickly checks his workshop, but the gun has gone. Michele tells Dave Paul was his brother. Dave gives a “gasping scream like sound” The police have no leads without a gun to the two murders. It’s revealed Jane has the gun, and is left wondering what to do.
