Synopsis/Details
L DRIVER'S The setting is South East London. There is traffic chaos. It is all there, bad driving, D.I.Y. learners, driving school cars and pure madness. The story revolves around one particular driving school called L Drivers. There are five instructors at the school, all have very different characters. Keith the boss, he likes the girls but never has one. Ian, calm, steady, reliable. Mike, the sergeant major, and dead pan Bernard who teaches the automatic. Geoff is the joker in the pack. We mainly follow his trials and tribulations through the film. This film depicts what it is really like out there in a satirical manner, trying to get a license. There is also one independent instructor known initially only as Humphries. Later on, we find out his first name, Plantagenet. He is of the old school tie brigade. There is Barbara in the office who deals with the most bizarre and hilarious enquiries at the office. Her co-worker Joyce looks on trying not to laugh. The film also deals with the subject of unqualified driving instructors. (licenced trainee's) In a serious but hilarious manner. We follow the progress of young Carole from start to finish on her driving lessons. Then she passes her test, so we end on a happy, but serious note.
