An artist and a sculptor frame a driving instructor for murder, and get away with it until someone strokes a fox.

FRAMED FOR MURDER The film opens with the murder of JANE (30) in an apartment building by a MAN who unknown to us is wearing a latex mask. In court DAVE BLACK (35) is sentenced to life in prison for the murder. In a cafe KIM (30) says to CAROLE (35) “so you got away with murder”. At CAROLE’S house in V.O. She says “yes it all began when I took a new pupil for Dave”. Then the storey unfolds. Dave a driving instructor begins an affair with his new pupil JANE (22). CAROLE meets BOB (40) a sculptor at an art exhibition. CAROLE begins an affair with BOB. CAROLE picks up a sculpture of DAVE’S head at BOB’S house. She uses the sculpture to make a latex mask of DAVE, meanwhile BOB makes another sculpture of DAVE’S head. BOB tries on the latex mask. The following night BOB murders JANE, the body is discovered the next day. DAVE is on a driving lesson when he sees the police and emergency vehicles outside JANE’S apartment building. After the lesson he calls JANE’S number, he speaks to the police who take his details. They discover BOB/DAVE on the C.C.T.V. BOB is in the garden with an incinerator, when there is a thunder storm. Dave is arrested and charged with murder, and sentenced to life in prison. BOB asks CAROLE to feed his cat while he is away for the night. On the night a fox wanders onto BOB’S drive. It’s followed by a hooded figure, the fox allows itself to be stroked. Then CAROLE pulls up in her car, the fox runs away. The hooded figure hides in some nearby bushes. He watches as CAROLE retrieves keys hidden under a nearby rock. CAROLE feeds the cat in the kitchen, watched by the hooded figure through the back door. After CAROLE leaves the house, the hooded figure enters the house using the hidden keys. He makes a fuss of the cat. Then he looks into a card board box under the work top in a cupboard. He discovers a sculpture of DAVE’S head, a latex mask and clothing. He replaces the items in the box. In the living room he sees a newspaper with DAVE’S face on it, and a headline DAVE BLACK sentenced to life in prison. BOB returns home to burn the evidence, and discovers it’s missing. It turns up at the police station along with a letter explaining where it had come from. BOB and CAROLE are confronted with the evidence, and each read the letter. Then they are arrested, and charged with JANE’S murder. They are sentenced to life in prison. Twenty five years later JANE in her prison cell is painting a portrait of BOB. BOB in his cell is working on a sculpture of CAROLE. Dave starts a lesson with a new pupil called JANE. After a few words they drive off into the distance.
