Synopsis/Details
Inspired by Real Events. In the sweltering summer of 1955, the Clements family struggles to maintain their Kentucky farm, but when the North Star burns too brightly and strange lights pulse through the woods, their ordinary life spirals into a waking nightmare. Young Bobby Clements senses something is wrong, but his father Hank—a hardened WWII veteran—brushes off his fears. Yet, unease grows as animals panic, shadows shift, and eerie sounds break the stillness of the night. One evening, the skies explode with light, and something lands beyond the woodline. The Clements’ home becomes a fortress under siege as bizarre, unearthly creatures emerge from the forest. The small gray beings are fast, intelligent, and relentless—testing doors, tapping on windows, and prowling the roof. Hank, Audrey, their children, and even steely Grandma Olive arm themselves, turning their quiet farmhouse into a battlefield. Gunfire erupts. Windows shatter. The creatures seem impervious to bullets, their bodies deflecting shots as they advance. As the night wears on, the family’s ammo dwindles, and the creatures grow bolder, inching ever closer. The Clements realize they aren’t just fighting for their home—they’re battling for survival against an unknown force with terrifying intent. As dawn approaches, with help miles away and the farmhouse nearly overrun, a desperate choice looms: make a final stand or escape through the same woods that birthed their nightmare. When the sun finally rises, nothing will ever be the same.
