TheBlackList on The Cartographer:
"The father/son theme that exists throughout the script is heartwarming and endearing. A superb job is done in creating this theme throughout all of the relationships in original and creative ways. There is also an ample amount of humor throughout that keeps the audience engaged. The script adheres to proper plot structure format which allows it to move along at a brisk pace without being burdened by too much exposition and dialogue. The character of Vaughn is complex and intriguing. His friendship with Alex goes through a nice catharsis as the script progresses and their paths cross in ways that neither could have imagined. Alex himself is a very empathetic young man that the audience gravitates towards and it is because of him that the audience allows themselves to fully invest in the storyline."
