Synopsis/Details
Similar to Get Out and The Purge with a contemporary and dark political spin straight out of Black Mirror, OLD VIRGINIA tells the intense and harrowing story of five teens ripped from our time of political and social unrest, only to find themselves placed somewhere much more deadly. While attending a peaceful protest over the police shooting of an unarmed black man, five friends, ANDRE, ELTON, CHRIS, MELISSA and MIKE, find themselves chased by the cops into an old mansion full of dust-covered artifacts and paintings. Cornered, and with nowhere else to turn, they seek refuge in the basement, where behind a locked door they find more than any of them bargained for - a trip through time and a desperate fight for survival. **SPOILERS BELOW** The five friends emerge in an empty clearing, dazed and confused. They are given no time to get their bearings before they find themselves pursued by Masked Horsemen. Though they do not speak a word, their motives and hatred could not be more clear. This is THE KLAN, and they will stop at nothing to see our heroes dead. They chase the trio through the mountains, resulting in several terrifying near misses and the death of Chris at the hands of The Klan. The four remaining friends seek refuge in a cabin in the woods, only to lose Mike to the cannibalistic occupants who dwell there. After barely escaping the cabin with their lives, Andre, Elton and Melissa have no choice but to accept they have been sent back in time, likely to the heart of The Klan's power After hours of running, hiding and intense fighting, Andre, Elton and Melissa are cornered by The Klan once again. In an abandoned barn, Elton flicks on his phone light revealing a modern day tractor, covered in dust and stripped for parts. The terrible truth is finally revealed - they did not go back in time, they went forward. Smoke pours in from outside, The Klan has set the barn on fire. With nowhere left to run, Andre, Melissa and Elton elect to fight. Grabbing tools off the wall, they burst through the door of the flaming barn and inflict as much damage as possible on The Klan. Surrounded, it looks like the end of the line for the three friends as a noose is slipped around Andre's neck. The arrival of a BLACK PANEL van stops The Klan in their tracks. THE RESISTANCE emerge, guns blazing, and when the dust settles, the Klan lie dead in the grass outside of the flaming barn. Safe for the first time, the surviving friends agree to join The Resistance to continue fighting for those who cannot in their new time. OLD VIRGINIA is a thrilling, suspenseful, and frightening look into a future where division, hatred, and racism have sent the human race toward the brink of destruction. Complete with terrifying scares, high stakes fights and gruesome visuals, OLD VIRGINIA is a fast, unflinching thrill ride with a twist that will leave people talking long after they have seen it.

The Writer: Connor McAulay

The Fun Stuff! Ancient myths, tall tales and ghost stories - Lore and lies. Fascinated by every language in the world and endeavoring to pick at least one up before I die. My cats will tell you I sing too loudly and dance terribly, though I would advise you not to believe them as both are notorious liars. Country, hip-hop, disco, soul, grunge, pop, rock and everything in between. My favourite hobby is laughing until I cry and my goal is making others do the same. When I’m not hunched over a computer you can find me hunched over other things, such as books, a guitar, or antlers that deer are kind enough to leave on the ground. In short I have developed a mighty hunch which I have been told… Go to bio
